2009 Festival Fringe - pre Festival Events

If you are in Whitstable on Friday before the festival why not look in at the Fish Slab Gallery in Oxford Street or see Whitstable Photographic Group’s exhibition in the Methodist Church (Argyle Road). You can also visit artist ‘Sue Carfrae’s Open House to see her work as she prepares for her up-coming exhibition ‘New light and old whispers’. In the evening you’ll find ‘Jumpin’ Jive with Kit Peckham at Deco 5 and live music in several of the town’s excellent pubs.

From 4th July until 31st July Red Sands Radio will be broadcasting from Whitstable Harbour to the local area on 87.7 FM, and on-line, promoting Project Redsand with Oyster Festival updates.

Don’t miss the new season of BBC2’s Coast programme on Tuesday 14th July which starts its journey around the UK at Whitstable, filmed during last year’s Oyster Festival.
