Escape to create a mosaic plant pot from recycled china

Alma’s Garden Workshop
10.30 am to 1.00 pm
(This workshop is repeated on Saturday 31 July)

All workshops are run by local people with a passion for their subject and for Whitstable too. Not only will you create a unique souvenir from your escape you’ll get the inside knowledge about our town from a local.

Every day will provide the opportunity for you to indulge in a creative activity with like minded people and let you ‘escape’ from life for a short while to find your creative self.

Escape to create a mosaic plant pot from recycled china with Alma Caira

A chance to rescue those cracked pieces of vintage china and turn them into something useful. Using old crockery, a hammer to smash it to pieces and some grout – decorate a plant pot with the pieces to create a beautiful mosaic object for your home or garden.

Mosaic is a messy business – aprons, gloves and goggles are provided but best to wear old clothes and no sandals please as there will be flying shards around.

Cost: £25 (£22 if booked by 30 June 2025)
Please bring a small clay flower pot (approx 4” wide) and a selection of pretty plates, cups etc.
Venue: Alma’s Garden Workshop, 5 minutes walk from the Horsebridge Arts Centre.
To Book: On-line at www.createinwhitstable.co.uk.
Telephone: 01227 268776
