Festival Art Spots

Whitstable is home to artists working in a wide variety of mediums. You can visit many artists’ homes and studios during the Festival. These free events are the Festival Art Spots for Saturday July 25th.

When Who/Where Description
10.00am to 5.00pm Liz Sheldon at Fish Slab Studios 11 Oxford St., Whitstable. A selection of paintings in seaside zingy colours. Tranquil, calming, breezy and bright. Sails, masts, wind, florals, cups, plates, jugs and hearts all from a delicious palette.

Stephen Hall Open Studio, 4 Church Street, Whitstable. Visit artist Stephen Hall’s open house gallery and studio. Stephen offers stunning kiln fused glass art and ceramics to visit, commission or purchase at very reasonable prices.
10.30am to 4.30pm ‘Shore-lines’, Caxton Contemporary 27 High St., Whitstable. New works made on the Whitstable Coastline by Internationally acclaimed artist, Paul Wadsworth. Upstairs at Caxton features works by contemporary artists working in the coastal environment.
11.00am to 5.00pm Sarah Stoke’s Open Studios 26 Island Wall, Whitstable. Artist Sarah Stokes & friends are having an exhibition of their new work in Sarah’s beachside studio - halfway between Keam’s Yard car park and the Neptune pub.
11.00am to 5.00pm Open House’ Sue Carfrae work at home’ 6 Northwood Rd., Tankerton. Sue Carfrae opens her home and workspace to show her latest photographic work as she prepares for her up-coming exhibition ‘New light and old whispers’.
10.00am to 4.00pm Whit Art at the Fish Slab Gallery 11 Oxford St., Whitstable. Whitstable Art in this quaint community gallery.
