Take six oysters and half a pint of pilsner. Keep your hands on your head until the whistle blows then down the lot as fast as possible. Yes it is gross, but it’s also funny. The fastest time wins and the competition is taken very seriously.

Barbecue on the beach and over 30 fabulous cask beers to try. Live bands begin at 7pm with Foolfighters.
Free entry daytime, £6.50 on the door 7pm onwards.
Note that the venue closes at 6.30pm and re-opens at 7pm.
