For the very best in local foods, visit the EPICentre Food Fair. Over 70 stalls selling fabulous food plus demonstrations and entertainment on the Food Fair Stage. Pick up a special EPICentre programme when you get to the Harbour for full details of everything going on.

10.15 to 10.45am Taste Challenge: Blindfold Bites

How well do you know your foods? Take the ten taste challenge and see how well you do. Every entrant is entered into a daily draw and one lucky entrant will win an EPICentre hamper today.


11.00 to 11.45am Mo Joslin’s Farmhouse Kitchen

The author of the Kentish Fare cookbook and founder of Farmhouse Kitchen demonstrates one of her Kentish recipes.


12 noon to 12.45pm Wine Making with Helen Smith

Helen, an enthusiastic advocate of urban permaculture and renowned wine maker shares her passion and skills for wine. Visit the Transition Town stall and complete a card for your chance to win a wine-workshop with Helen for 10 people.


1pm to 1.45pm Tasty Test Time

Here’s a tasty challenge for children of any age. Find out how good you are at identifying food by touch, taste and smell by signing up for our blindfold Tasty Taste Challenge on the Harbour Stage. Every entrant also gets entered into a daily draw where one lucky entrant will win chocolate and ice cream for the whole family!


2pm to 2.45pm Cook Local – cooking with Zoe Morley

Zoe will show how easy it is to “cook local” by designing a dish using only
foods purchased from today’s stallholders. Zoe is the founder of the Angel Cookery Academy.


3pm to 3.45pm Forager Salads

At this time of year many common garden flowers feature in the foraged salads. Jo Barker, a keen Permaculturalist and forager will show that sensational foraged salads are available 12 months of the year and that there is actually food everywhere all the time.


4pm to 4.30pm Cup Cakes with Joanna

Cloudberry Cafe’s very own doyenne of cupcake creations shows how she makes cupcakes look as divine as they taste. Joanna’s dream is to open a cafe cum cooking school. In the meantime she is operating her boutique bakery from a fisherman’s hut in Whitstable Harbour and runs cake decorating classes at Whitstable’s Horsebridge Centre.


4.45 to 5.15pm Open Taste Challenge – just try it….

Any age, any person – come to the stage to try a new flavour….
