Feeling competitive? Or want to watch other people sacrifice all shreds of dignity in pursuit of a prize? Then the annual Oyster Eating competition is definitely for you. Basic ingredients are a stopwatch, 6 oysters and half a point of pilsner. The fastest time wins.

Organised by Crab & Winkle restaurant and Whitstable Fish Market.

Over 18s only

£3 per entry.

Entry forms available in advance form the Festival Information Centre, or enter on the day.
