Escape to create a knitted flower corsage

Horsebridge Arts Centre, Whitstable

All workshops are run by local people with a passion for their subject and for Whitstable too. Not only will you create a unique souvenir from your escape you’ll get the inside knowledge about our town from a local.

Every day will provide the opportunity for you to indulge in a creative activity with like minded people and let you ‘escape’ from life for a short while to find your creative self.

Escape to create a knitted flower corsage with Sophie Everett

Enjoy an afternoon of creative corsage making and knit a beautiful bloom perfect for pinning to your favourite jumper, embellishing a treasured accessory or as the finishing touch to an existing project.

You’ll be provided with the yarn, needles and instruction to produce your own knotted flower head, using a variety of simple knitted stitches. Existing knowledge of knit and purl as well as basic increases and decreases is necessary.

At the end of the workshop you’ll take away your own hand crafted flower head and hopefully the inspiration for creating a beautiful bouquet or a whole field of flowers.

Cost: £25 (£22 if booked by 30 June)
